Akira Kurosawa - The Fencing Master Tateshi Danpei (The Fencing Master) was written by Kurosawa. This film is a 1962 remake of the orginal Tateshi Danpei made in 1950. This DVD is an Eastern Eye (Region 4) release as part of the 4 DVD box set Kurosawa- Samurai Classics II which also includes the previuolsy Eatern Eye releases of Rashomon, Throne of Blood and Red Beard. Fencing Master is available in this set for the first time ever outside of Japan.
